Above all else, be kind
My name is Racheal Ennis. When I first began my yoga practice eleven years ago, I started with a traditional mat. A novice to yoga, but with a great amount of curiosity and willingness to learn, my practice started to flourish. I became dedicated to improving both my physical and mental strength through yoga. Each class presented me with new challenges, and my awareness of mind, body, and spirit was growing.
IT ALL STARTED WITH
THE LOVE OF YOGA
Among all the benefits I was experiencing from my practice, I was also tuning into some of the discomforts. In certain postures there were particular pressure points that needed extra comfort and support. In order to keep progressing, I decided I had to relieve this pain and be kinder to my body. I bought a piece of memory foam, cut it to size, and laid it on top of my traditional yoga mat.
The relief was amazing! I felt a dramatic decrease in pressure on my hands, knees, elbows, and head, but I was still able to feel the flatness/stability of the floor. With no intention other than to improve my own practice, at first I kept my discovery to myself, but as I continued on, I realized these pressure points were no longer hurting, my balance was improving, and my savasana was far more relaxing and beneficial. Six months later I had an a-ha! moment. If this concept radically improved my practice, I know it could do the same for other yogis.
The Kind Mat is available to let others experience these same benefits. This mat was originally
designed with no intentions of marketing or selling it. My only motivation was to improve my personal practice. Now I want to share not only the comfort of memory foam in a mat, but all the benefits of a safer, more focused, and more therapeutic yoga practice.
You can add more positive energy to the world and the people around you when you’re at one with your mind, body, and spirit. That’s the approach to life that inspired Vernice Vita (meaning “paint life” in Italian). One of the yamas of yoga is ahimsa, the concept of practicing non-harmful behavior and compassion for all beings. Each time you step on your yoga mat, you have the opportunity to practice ahimsa by being kind to yourself.
I hope our one-of-a-kind mats will remind you that taking care of yourself both emotionally and physically – as well as spreading KINDNESS to others – helps to foster a more harmonious world for all.
100% money back guarantee! If you don’t absolutely love your mat or if you experience any problems, we’ll refund or exchange it.
